Nicodemus

The Deserter (Der Deserteur)
installation

The Deserter (Der Deserteur) is about presence and about absence. It is about anticipation and arrival, as much as it is about departure and loss.
Nicodemus initially developed the idea as part of an international collaboration he had proposed (working title: Divide and Rule) but eventually abandoned both the proposed collaboration and this installation.
No one ever asked him why and the Deserter (Der Deserteur) remains unrealised.
