Making Home
Throughout his adult life Nicodemus has kept his artistic and his political practice completely separate. After his return to Germany, however, he experiences this division increasingly as an unnecessary constraint, if not an impediment to his development.
By 2020, after settling in Berlin, he begins to play with and blur these once-rigid distinctions, eventually integrating both strands fully. What began as geographic relocation evolved into a fundamental repositioning – spatially, politically, and conceptually.
This section lists a selection of art projects from this period.
